Meet Kimberly

Hi! My name is Kimberly. I am the owner of Hartman Health and Fitness, as well as the founder of The AYM Method. I started Hartman Health and Fitness because I have a passion for helping busy people understand how to live a healthy lifestyle without feeling alone, lost, or deprived.

It is my wish for you to have a mindset shift that this is a way of life and not just a quick fix. Consistently being mindful of what we are eating and finding enjoyable ways to regularly be active are the keys to success.

Using the AYM Method, we look at forming healthy habits, fighting obstacles, and learn ways to get active without spending endless hours in the gym or hating every second of it. We will work together to make small steps as we go along your journey together. Our lives can get messy. My goal is for you to feel a sense of control and accomplishment

I am excited to be on this journey with you. Be sure to schedule a coaching call today to learn more about ways we can work together to help you feel like your best self!

More about me

I love to travel, hike, camp, listen to audiobooks, craft, bake, and play games (board games, trivia, yard games, etc.). I am blessed to have an amazing and supportive husband, as well as a sweet, yet sassy, cat.

I started my fitness journey in 2016 after seeing my photos from vacation and HATING how I looked. Although I was never really athletic, I loved the process. I loved going to the gym and challenging myself to do better. I fell in love with running as well. My longest race was the Hot Chocolate 15k in Chicago in 2017. What an adventure!

In 2019, my job as a paraprofessional at a local school offered a wellness program to its employees. I signed up to work with a health coach to help me reach my own health and wellness goals. She taught me a lot as we took a deep dive into goals and eating patterns. I realized then that I wanted to be a coach just like her! I wanted to help people understand how to live a healthy and sustainable lifestyle without feeling completely deprived.

In January 2020, I decided to make a complete career change. I started with getting my Group Fitness Instructor certificate through American Council on Exercise (ACE). Throughout the course of the year, I obtained my Zumba Instructor License, Strong Nation License, and Health Coach Certificate also through ACE. In June of 2021 I completed the Certified Personal Trainer course through National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). In 2024, I became licensed to teach Circl Mobility. I have always wanted my own business and am excited to be able to start my journey of helping others.
